Iconic Sunshine Coast pie brand Beefy’s has officially headed south, opening its first NSW store in Ballina this week. The seaside town has been hand selected by the Beefy’s team for its thriving local community and appreciation for handmade gourmet food products.

“We’re excited to receive a warm welcome from the Ballina and Northern Rivers community so far and can’t wait to have everyone in store to taste the Beefy’s difference,” says Jason Lyons, General Manager – Operations at Beefy’s.

Heralding from Queensland’s Sunshine Coast, Beefy’s is a road trip destination for hungry travellers and part of daily life for lucky Sunshine Coast residents. Boasting gold 8 years in a row at the Official Great Aussie Meat Pie Competition, Beefy’s is recognised for its outstanding quality, taste and generous servings.

Ballina is Beefy’s 10th store and the first store to open in New South Wales. It joins locations across South-East Queensland including Gympie, Traveston, Maroochydore, Buderim, Kawana, Aussie World, Glasshouse, Mango Hill and Ningi.

“Customers reach out to us daily, requesting new locations for Beefy’s. They want us to be their local pie shop, not just a holiday treat when they visit the Sunshine Coast. We are working hard to make this a reality” Jason says.

To celebrate this milestone opening and meet the Ballina community, Beefy’s will host an opening weekend from Friday 12th July to Sunday 14th July. The locals will have a chance to taste the large Beefy’s pie range with buy one get one free offers all weekend, lucky draws, children’s activities and a visit from the brand mascot, Mr. Beefy.

“Our new Ballina team can’t wait to get to know everyone by name, pie and coffee order. Our opening weekend is the best way to kick this off, but we’ll be teaming up with the local community to support businesses, events and groups in the future with our Pie Drives and fundraising events” Jason says.
